This is my first year at Coonley, and I'm excited to be a part of the team!
I grew up on the edge of the southwest suburbs surrounded by cornfields before heading to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for college, where I was again surrounded by cornfields.
After college, I spent two years teaching 8th grade math at Oakwood Junior High in central Illinois (more cornfields), then packed up and shipped out to one of the biggest cities in the world: Seoul, South Korea. I spent seven years there teaching Trig/Pre-calc and physics at Yongsan International School.
This past year, my family and I (see below) returned to the U.S., and we've enjoyed clean air and being closer to family, but are still adjusting to living in the foreign land of Chicago!
